It’s been 26 weeks of Joy!
Our little girl Joy Luci is arriving in just 3 months and I can’t wait to meet her!
If you follow us on Instagram you probably already know all of this but that’s the first time I share the news here on the blog. I’ve been consumed (in a very good way) with my pregnancy and taking as much time as possible to rest, be present and not be on the computer and making to do lists. It’s been a humbling experience as I’m a type A person. To let go and do less has been hard but that’s exactly what I need. This is the reason I haven’t posted anything here yet. Now that I’m almost on my third trimester I felt the need to start sharing a little more so I can look back and enjoy reading. I know I’m going to miss this big belly!
God has blessed me so much and I’m truly enjoying being pregnant. Our family of 5 will turn into 6. Joy Luci will come to bring even more light to our blended family! The kids are excited and Janiah can’t wait to be a big sister and play with Joy’s hair. I’m sure I will need help in that area.
We are so curious to see who she will look like. Having a mixed baby is so much fun already. I love everything about it! Most of all, we are grateful for this miracle and for our health.
Also I wanted to share that I will be entering maternity leave on Oct 1st. That means I will be shooting family sessions only until the end of September and returning next April. I do have one very important wedding to photograph in January but other than that I won’t be accepting any shoots for these sacred months but I will try to be active on the blog and social media sharing what we are up to. If you are planning on booking me for family or holiday photos please contact me as soon as possible as my calendar for August and September is filling up quickly.
I will share more of our story with baby Joy Luci in future posts. Here are some pictures my dear friend Todd Good took of us just one week before Justin Jr (our oldest) left to West Point, NY to study and play football for The United States Military Academy. So many good changes are happening in our family and we are so thankful.
